VEGEPOLYS' vocation is to develop the orientation of, and set priorities for the Competitive Cluster in a cross-sector approach to specialised plants.

To achieve this,

• It takes account of members' expectations: member companies – research – training - local government
• It draws on real life as perceived by member companies and from its own industry monitoring

VEGEPOLYS provides a local network with an international lookout for the benefit of its members.

With the goal of strengthening the cluster's world position, VEGEPOLYS :

• develops innovation in companies by supporting local research and training teams
• creates conditions for showcasing results from local companies, especially internationally.

Being in overall charge of the competitive centre, it acts as a catalyst and relies on project managers to implement its actions.

This policy will help, develop and sustain cluster's companies.

Through a strategy in accordance with its overall policy, VEGEPOLYS focuses on the four following areas:

Anticipation through business intelligence : VEGEPOLYS develops business intelligence in a way that benefits all members, from thos einvolved in supply, to those in production and eventually marketing.

Innovation and variety creation : VEGEPOLYS facilitates all actions from members and partners that further innovation and variety creation in products. The four speciality areas involved are food, health, well-being (antioxidising, etc.), and the environment (sanitary quality, urban landscape). These range from research to intellectual property.

Adding value to production (product transformation and marketing): VEGEPOLYS supports actions which encourage innovation in adding value to products, such as improvement in production factors, industrial processes and marketing.

Image and communication : VEGEPOLYS will establish as a priority an internal communication tool for the association and local partners. In the near future, a wider scale communicaiton plan to bring the cluster to national and international attention will be established.
